West Circle defines the oldest area of campus. This space has been delineated by a drive that encircled what has been called the "Sacred Space" by President Abbot. The South and East portions of West Circle is bounded by the Red Cedar River, the West side by Laboratory Row, and the North boundary by Michigan and Grand River Avenue.
